WATCH: PTA & Jonathan Demme Q&A From '14 Austin Film Festival

Several months ago, audio from the Q&A between Paul Thomas Anderson and Jonathan Demme at last year's Austin Film Festival was made available to download. Now, video of the talk has found its way to YouTube. Notably, quite a bit of the video differs from what was cut together in the audio-only version, so it's definitely worth taking a peek (via xixax).

WATCH: PTA & Jonathan Demme talk "Greaser's Palace" At Austin Film Festival

If you'll recall, PTA dropped by the Austin Film Festival last year to talk to Jonathan Demme about his career. That lovely talk can be heard here. While in Austin, Demme and PTA also co-hosted a screening of Robert Downey Sr's whacked-out 1972 Western Greaser's Palace (which, based on the footage shown, we will HAVE to dig up somehow), and discussed the film afterword. Now, thanks to On Story, that second talk has finally surfaced in video form.

Remember back in October when we announced that PTA was going to be traveling to the Austin Film Festival to moderate a Q&A with iconic filmmaker Jonathan Demme? And remember how that was the last we heard of it, save for a few low-res phone-pics of the event on Instagram?

Well, today the convo is available for free download on iTunes via The On-Story Podcast. The whole thing runs about 45 minutes, and it is a highly candid and fascinating discussion.

PTA Headed To Austin Film Festival To Moderate Jonathan Demme Q&A, "Greaser's Palace" Screening

According to many on the ground, including the local presses, Paul Thomas Anderson will be attending the Austin Film Festival this coming weekend to moderate a Q&A with long-time filmmaking idol and friend Jonathan Demme. That talk will be this coming Saturday at 3:45pm in the Stephen F. Austin Ballroom.

On Sunday, PTA will be co-hosting a screening of Robert Downey Sr.'s 1972 film "Greaser's Palace" with Demme. That'll start at 5:30pm at the State Theatre, with another Q&A between the two directors following.

If you live in or around Austin, TX, and haven't made up your mind to get passes yet, it's probably worth looking into here. Aside from these talks, some phenomenal titles are screening this year.
