"Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker's possessed creation, Annabelle."
The first Annabelle movie wasn't all that great, So it's hard to be excited about the trailer for its sequel, especially when said trailer is really just a teaser. Still, maybe Annabelle 2 will surprise us and end up being one of those rare movies that end up being better than its predecessor.
After all, it's directed by the guy who did Lights Out, so what could go wrong?
"A successful businesswoman gets caught up in a game of cat and mouse as she tracks down the unknown man who raped her."
We haven't seen a new movie from Paul Verhoeven since Hollow Man back in 2000 (he's done two since then, we just haven't seen them), and his return to the Genre roots that made him a huge name throughoutthe 90's looks to be maybe his best film, at least artistically speaking.
French Thrillers tend to be a special blend of dark and twisted sexuality and violence, and human drama, and we can't wait to experience everybit of itthat Elle has to offer.
"A heart-pounding thriller about a widowed child psychologist who lives in an isolated existence in rural New England. Caught in a deadly winter storm, she must find a way to rescue a young boy before he disappears forever."
It's been a minute since we've seen lovely Aussie Naomi Watts in a Genre flick, and this trailer for Shut In makes us remember why we've missed her so much. she does panic really well, you know? If we have to watch anyone trapped in an isolated house with evil Supernatural forces, she'll do everytime.
"A mother and her young son release unimaginable horrors from the attic of their rural dream home."
I can't tell if The Disappointments Room looks like another bland, familiar Supernatural movie that's been done to death, or if it might just be something more, but I sure do love Kate Beckinsale.
Yep. Love that girl.
You can decide for yourself what kind of movie it might be below.
The Disappointments Room arrives in theaters on September 9th.
"After his father is killed in a car crash, Jack travels home to Colorado to help nurse his mother (who was injured in the crash) back to health. There, he uncovers long buried secrets and lies within his family history, his parents, his friends and his very identity."
Jack Goes Home looks like one intense Psychological Thriller, and if we're up for anything, it's watching someone have a mental breakdown. On film, of course.
Check out the trailer below.
Jack Goes Home hits theaters and VOD on October 14th.
"In Rings, a young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a movie within the movie that no one has ever seen before"
The Ring was a modern day classic. The Ring Two: Electric Boogaloo was a modern day disappointment. Now, 11 years after that lackluster sequel, Hollywood is taking another try at the series with Rings. The fact that it wrapped filming back in June of 2015, was set to be released that November, and then was delayed a handful of times, makes us wonder if it's going to suck. The trailer looks promising though. Mostly.
Either way, I'm sure it will be on our watch list come October.
"Taking place after alien crafts land around the world, an expert linguist is recruited by the military to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat."
With movies like Enemy, Prisoners, and Sicario on his resume, Denis Villeneuve has fast become one of our favorite directors. The idea of him tackling an alien invasion movie starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whittaker has us all kinds of excited, and this international trailer looks fantastic.

FrightFest, The UK's biggest and best Horror Film Fetival, sounds like pure Heaven to us, and the trailer below makes us wish we lived close enough to attend all 5 days. Or even 1. Hell, half a day!
